Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Collaborate with our Advocacy consultant on policy and advocacy newsletters, regional meetings, and the creation of policies. Project objectives: 1 to 3 articles, attend one regional meeting if available and other tasks as assigned. Locations: Online Estimated time 30 hours.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer The Center for Community Health Advancement (CCHA) at Marshfield Clinic Health System collaborates with community partners to address local health needs. Our team of health educators, experts, and volunteers assess needs, identify gaps, develop and implement evidence-based programs, and evaluate their effectiveness.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Communication: To effectively collaborate and convey ideas. Teamwork: To work well with the advocacy consultant and other team members. Research: To gather information for articles and policy creation. Writing: To craft clear and engaging articles and newsletters. Critical Thinking: To analyze policies and contribute to discussions. Time Management: To balance project tasks with other commitments. Digital Literacy: To use online tools and platforms for meetings and content creation.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?
