Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Content creation for our social media platforms that speaks to our Centers interests of Social Determents of Health, Behavioral health, Food Security and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math for our target audience of Out of School Time Professionals. Students will work with our Health Educators to complete these projects. Project objectives 4 to 5 post and assist with promotion of podcasts and webinars. Locations: Online Estimated time 15 to 30 hours.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer The Center for Community Health Advancement (CCHA) at Marshfield Clinic Health System collaborates with community partners to address local health needs. Our team of health educators, experts, and volunteers assess needs, identify gaps, develop and implement evidence-based programs, and evaluate their effectiveness.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Creativity: To develop engaging and innovative social media content. Communication: To effectively convey messages and collaborate with health educators. Teamwork: To work well with others and contribute to a shared goal. Digital Literacy: To use social media platforms and online tools proficiently. Writing: To craft clear and compelling posts. Time Management: To balance project tasks with other commitments. Research: To gather relevant information on social determinants of health, behavioral health, food security, and STEM. Promotion: To assist with promoting podcasts and webinars effectively.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Project objectives: Create 4 to 6 social media posts and assist with promotion of podcasts and webinars. Locations: Online Estimated time 15 to 30 hours.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer All work complete by the student will be done online and will be turned into the supervisor in a timely manner, with in the time frame discussed by student and supervisor. Locations: Online Estimated time 15 to 30 hours.
