Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Make A Difference Day is the largest national day of community service. Eau Claire's Make a Difference Day will include fall clean-up of City streets and parks, making blankets for area non-profit organizations, and assisting citizens ready their homes for winter. This day will address the needs of less fortunate individuals and families.


What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer The City of Eau Claire's mission is to assure common good through services essential for a safe, sustainable, engaged, and healthy community.


What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Seeking a mature, responsible, and organized individual who is looking to help make a difference in our community. *Excellent organization and communication skills. *Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, & Publisher.


What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer *Promote and market event. *Recruit and assign volunteers to clean-up areas. *Plan and coordinate blanket making work sessions prior to October 15. *Assist in purchasing and gathering event supplies and equipment *Coordinate blanket drop-offs with area non-profit organizations.


What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Pre-planning is flexible around student's school schedule. Make a Difference Day is Saturday, October 28 from 9:00am-12:00pm.
