Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer WHYS Radio, Inc. is celebrating 20 years on the air with an outdoor Fundraising Music Festival. In 2024, WHYS Music Festival setup a composting and recycling program in2024. WHYS is looking for individuals to work as a team to setup and maintain this program. A crew of 5-6 individuals .

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer The mission of WHYS Radio is to return the Festival grounds to the way it looked originally, through composting and recycling.

3.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer good interpersonal skills, able to work in a team and individually. Hard worker, conscientious.

4.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer a working example of composting and recycling

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Students will be available the week of: 08/11/2025 thru 08/17/2025. Responsibilities: retrieve composting and recycling materials, setup stations, create signage and maintain throughout the Festival
