Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer WHYS Radio 96.3LpFM is a 501c3 non-profit low power radio station. WHYS is 100% volunteer run and operated. WHYS is celebrating 20 years on the air. WHYS Music Festival is a fundraiser festival. We are currently in need of crew leader and 5-6 crew workers

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer hands on experience: transporting setting up and take down of festival: staging, snow fence, tents and signage

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Work as a team and individually. Hands on experience

4.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer WHYS Radio is a volunteer run organization. Students will get hands on experience in the aspects of behind the scenes of a small Music Fundraiser Festival. Festgoers 400-500 attendees.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Students can expect to work starting on Tuesday 08/12/2025 with transporting ,setup on 08/13/ &08/14 and takedown on 08/16 &0817
