Service-Learning Proposal Description


Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer This person will attend our golf outing and ride around on golf cart taking pictures of attendees playing golf. the photographer will take candid photos of people at the event; conduct edits necessary to make your photographs shine and provide 25 general interest photographs. The community need to be addressed is: To inspire and prepare students to succeed in a global economy.


What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, Northwest Area is a non-profit that presents economic life skills through hands-on education programs to area youth. JA volunteers present hands-on programs to 2-12 students during the school by throughout the school year. The organization’s purpose is to inspire and prepare 2-12 students to succeed in a global economy.


What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Ability and equipment to take high quality photos as well as edit photos tastefully. Previous photography experience is required.


What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Practice photography and editing skills. Interact with guests at the event to improve personal relations skills. Help Junior Achievement increase community awareness of the programs offered by Junior Achievement promoting entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy. Provides hands on experience for the student to provide a portfolio building piece for a non-profit organization.


What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Must be available during the gold outing on July 21, 2020 from 10:30 AM - 6:30PM. Edited photos should be emailed/shared with the JA Marketing Manager by July 28, 2020 that will be used for marketing purposes promoting Junior Achievement in northwestern Wisconsin.

Answer A meal will be provided at the event. Do not add Watermark on photos since these photos will be used for event marketing and publicity purposes. You will receive photo credit for the event photos and thanked in our newsletter.
