Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer In this position you will work closely with the Marketing and Development Manager in the promotion and marketing of JA efforts assisting in all aspects of planning, implementing and marketing for various special events and marketing efforts through-out the year. Intern Responsibilities may include: Assist in marketing Junior Achievement activities to include, creating promotional materials writing, editing and publishing social media posts, assist with planning upcoming special events, including securing raffle and auction prizes, planning logistics, creating promotional materials and content, etc. Possibly assist in event day set up, take down, and any other event detail as needed; Write articles for JA e-newsletters and other marketing materials. The community need to be addressed is: To inspire and prepare 2-12 students to succeed in a global economy.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Junior Achievement of Wisconsin is a non-profit organization that presents economic life skills through hands-on education programs to area youth. JA volunteers present hands-on programs to students during the school by throughout the school year. The organization’s purpose is to inspire and prepare area students to succeed in a global economy.

3.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer This person should be creative, motivated and confident and looking to gain practical marketing experience as well as a first-rate partnership for building a resume.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Help impact Junior Achievement's community awareness in promoting entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy. This position provides hands-on experience and the opportunity to add professional pieces to your portfolio.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Schedule is flexible and will coordinate around your current class schedule.
