Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer The Eau Claire Marathon needs assistance with social media posting during the weekend of the race. This position will take over the Eau Claire Marathon social media pages. Must be familiar with facebook, twitter, Instagram and snapchat. The community need to be addressed is to highlight the runners participating in the Eau Claire Marathon to showcase the city and community in a positive way and to bring more people to Eau Claire the following race year.


What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer The Eau Claire Marathon's mission is to encourage a journey for participants to live a healthier lifestyle that endorses the fact that dedication and discipline yield results, that demonstrates that you don't have to win the race to have a personal victory, and a journey that should remind everyone of the power of encouragement.


What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Must be familiar with facebook, twitter, Instagram and snapchat.


What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer The students will have an opportunity to work alongside the directors and coordinators of the Eau Claire Marathon while gaining real-time social media experience in a fast paced and upbeat environment.


What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Friday TBD, Saturday 9AM-5PM and Sunday 7AM-2PM. Must meet prior to event to prepare for weekend.
