Briefly describe the project and the community to be addressed.
Answer Music Is Good Medicine is a program designed to coordinate community musicians to perform on a volunteer basis for our patients and others who would visit our Luther campus. Student will report directly to Lisa Nielsen, Supervisor Volunteer Services.

What skills are required for this project?
Answer " Understand and appreciate the impact of music on patients, visitors, families, and staff Mature, responsible, positive, and service-oriented individual Ability to work in conjunction with staff in a supportive way in a team-oriented environment Strong customer service skills/interpersonal interactions Ability to keep all information strictly confidential concerning patients, doctors, volunteers and/or hospital/clinic personnel Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English Basic computer/keyboard knowledge "


What are the objectives for the student learning and service?
Answer To recruit, coordinate and schedule musicians of professional caliber to donate of their time to perform in the Luther Lobby on a monthly or one time basis.


What are the availability requirements for the student?
Answer Three to four hours weekly.
