Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Become a Respite or Companionship Volunteer to Allina Hospice patients wherever they call home. Assist in light housework, small projects, light meal prep and allow for caregivers to rest in home settings 2-3 hours a week. Or be a face just for them as a companionship volunteer in a facility setting 1 hour per week. Both opportunities are ongoing in your Community


What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer We strive to provide whole person care Body, Mind and Spirit at End of Life as a Non Profit Hospice.


What skills are required for this project? 

Answer You need to be 18 years of age and have a desire to be a Volunteer for 6 months to a year or longer if you choose.


What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Establish 1-1 connection and ongoing support. Collaborate as part of a care team. Communication and privacy are important in this role


What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Complete requirements for Volunteering Labs, fingerprinting, reference and Online training as well as 1-1 Wrap up training on site at our St. Paul location. 18 yrs and available for 1-4 hours a week ongoing to support assigned patients
