Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Kiwanis focuses on giving back to the community through community service. This project would focus on working with the Kiwanis organization through a variety of service projects that include adopt-a-highway, community table volunteering, volunteering at local schools, and working with individuals with disabilities. The opportunities throughout the semester vary but focus on giving back to the Eau Claire community.


What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Kiwanis is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to improving the world one child and one community at a time. The Kiwanis Club of Eau Claire- Noon is dedicated to serving the local community through various service and fundraising projects.


What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Friendly, hardworking, and willing to help others. Transportation may be needed for some events.


What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer 1. Learn to value personal involvement in the community. 2. Respect and appreciate different perspectives within the community. 3. Help students develop a sense of their own role in a community partnership. 4. Improve competence and confidence in one's ability to make a difference.


What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer The time and opportunities are varied. Some are on weekends.
