Service-Learning Proposal Description


Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer The Grants/Marketing Intern serves as the grant researcher and writer and supports special Grant and Marketing projects. This requires strong writing, data analysis, program budgeting, project management skills, with an emphasis on grant compliance and outcome measurement. With this, the community mission's outcome will prove to be more possible and concrete. The community need is to bring assistance to the grant writer to further the B&G Club mission: "to inspire and enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens."

Answer Our Mission. To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.


What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Great organizational and writing skills. Work with people to gather information and be able to create craft and write about the great program offered at the Club. Self motivated to establish and create grants portraying the programming we offer at the Clubs. Interview staff and Club members to help craft the grant proposals. Other tasks will include helping with Marketing Plan and various other tasks for our Donor Base.


What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Draft proposals and grant application narratives, help with Marketing and Donor Base Projects.


What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer 15 hours per week at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Greater Chippewa Valley - between the hours of 8am and 5pm, Monday - Friday. Flexible.
