Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer This internship will be working with the Marketing and Development Manager in the promotion and marketing of Junior Achievement for northwestern Wisconsin. Intern will assist in implementing and marketing various special events happening for the area office. Such tasks include creating promotional material, creating and publishing social media posts, help secure special event raffle and auction items, help plan event day logistics and create promotional contents, write news releases, write, edit and publish organization content for area e-newsletter.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization that presents economic life skills to area K-12th grade students. Volunteers are recruited by staff to present JA curriculum in the classroom throughout the school year.

3.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer This person should be creative, motivated, self-starter and is looking to improve and gain their practical marketing skills.

4.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Assist in providing community impact and awareness of Junior Achievement in the area. This internship will provide hand-on projects that can added to your portfolio.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer This internship offers flexible hours that will coordinate around your class schedule. End date will differ depending on when 30 hours has been reached.
