Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer This project involves working within the Eau Claire Area School District's Homeless Program and ECASD Closet to provide necessary organizational and administrative support for each program. Students will be helping to provide vital support for services and items needed by student in the district by helping to complete tasks and projects currently happening in the programs. Students will organize donations and may complete computer tasks. The community need that is addressed is the items and services we provide through the programs to help students continue their education.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer To inspire and prepare students to live creative, fulfilling and responsible lives.

3.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Some computer skills, otherwise just general lifting, sorting and other simple organizational skills. Should be able to work on your own with guidance.

4.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer To learn about the ECASD Closet and Homeless Program, the services provided through these programs, and why these are vital to the community we serve.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Volunteer hours are available: Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 9am-12pm. (No Fridays during the summer).
