Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Grow. Impact. Lead. will offer a fall and spring cycles with four scheduled sessions each cycle. Students will earn points for completing all aspect of each cycle that can be redeemed for exclusive swag items. Sessions will rotate between service projects with local non-profits, virtual webinars or panel discussions, and in-person workshops where you will have a hands-on learning or networking experience. The program will also offer self-paced, online financial education and professional learning.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Royal Credit Union's Core Purpose is to create a positive impact in the lives we touch. We are offering this program as a free service to 18-24 year old people for the betterment of the community.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Some lifting, bending, and extended time standing may be required for volunteering projects.

4.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Grow. Impact. Lead. is dedicated to leadership development, and participants will be given the opportunity to meet with local professionals from across the Chippewa Valley and learn from their experiences. Grow. Impact. Lead. will also provide the opportunity to volunteer at three area non-profits.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Thursday, October 5, 5-7pm at Oak Ridge Hall Thursday, October 19, 5:30-7:30pm, location TBD Thursday, November 16, 5-7pm, via Zoom Thursday, December 7, 5:30-7:30pm, location TBD
