Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Mentoring youth in out of home placement, 1-2 days a week, 1-2 hours each day.

2.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Strengthening our community through partnerships and services to promote dignity, increase resilience, and provide hope.

3.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Knowledge of Trauma Informed Care helpful but, not required. A background of working with children or in Social Work, Psychology, Education, Childcare, or Special Education a plus.

4.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer To provide support and mentoring for children ages 8-18.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer 1-2 hours, 1-2 days a week to spend time with a child ages 8-18 years of age, one on one doing activities in the community.

6.
