Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer The Children's Nature Academy provides care and learning to young children. In order to provide care during non-traditional hours we need assistance organizing the evening / weekend curriculum. Ease of access and organization will make this easier to facilitate.

2.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Our program cares for children ages 6 weeks through 12 years of age and supports experiential learning and employment for UWEC students.

3.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Organization Office skills: copying, filing, etc. Artistic ability

4.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer The student will gain knowledge of developmentally appropriate curriculum. They will experience lesson planning and organization within a learning environment.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Flexible, with some weekday availability.

6.

Additional information (not required).

Answer No additional information. 15 or 30 hours can be accommodated
