Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Blugold Roast seeks a student to build a photography portfolio of all its available products to include in its online store and promote the coffee across social media and email marketing channels. This includes straightforward photos as well as more creative seasonal photos that feature Blugold Roast products. We seek refreshed social media and marketing content that aligns with and promotes our core values of SUSTAINABILITY, HOSPITALITY, and COMMUNITY.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Blugold Roast shares socially responsible coffee within and beyond UW-Eau Claire. We place a strong emphasis on sustainability and strive to embody a friendly value of community and stewardship of the environment across all our means of communication.

3.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Basic to intermediate photography and willingness to learn product photography methods, specifically; conversational writing for social media and blog posts; basic understanding of food safety and community service practices.

4.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer -Capture photos of all items and variations of items within the Blugold Roast product line -Create at least 10 static posts for both Facebook and Instagram and 5 dynamic/engagement posts for both Facebook and Instagram -Identify and coordinate with at least three campus departments or groups to celebrate with complimentary coffee service in appreciation for the role they play on campus in contributing to one of Blugold Roast's three core values of SUSTAINABILITY, HOSPITALITY, and COMMUNITY

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Flexible schedule; project can be completed on your own time and to your own schedule constraints.
