Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Mr. Kitty's Cat Cafe is partnered with the Eau Claire County Humane association to find adoptable cats a home. By working in the cat lounge at Mr. Kitty's cat cafe, you can help in this goal

2.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer To provide safe and secure care for the cats in our care until a forever home can be found.

3.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Able to be observant of activities in the cat lounge. Good social and communication skills and love of cats. Able to clean litter boxes and food bowls and cat lounge. Be able to clean up any messes the cats make. Be on time.

4.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer animal welfare / social interaction/ Some social media exposure

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer I am looking for 1-2 volunteers for 4 shifts Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays. The shifts are: 6:30am-9:30am 9:30am-1:00pm 2:30pm-5:00pm 5:00pm-7:30pm I am also looking for a couple volunteers on Mondays to help deep clean the cat lounge. We will be closed on Mondays. I can be somewhat flexible on these hours. I would like a 3-4 hr shift to help clean.
