Service-Learning Proposal Description

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer By joining our team writing intern, you would be meeting a need of coordinating and executing Blog entry development, writing edits, and submitting. Create a partnership with MS-Take Charge, Inc. So we can become a reference for you in the future.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Our mission is to empower individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) to thrive by providing accessible, no-cost therapeutic movement and exercise services that enhance their mental health and overall well-being while encouraging independence.

3.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Someone with an interest in collaborating while we form a health and wellness community engagement nonprofit organization for individuals living with Multiple Sclerosis. 1. Time management - juggling multiple tasks 2. Utilize one’s skills to enhance their service-learning experience 3. Strong research skills to identify relevant grant opportunities and gather supporting data. 4. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading abilities 5. Proficiency in using word processing, spreadsheet, and Adobe 6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Play a vital role in supporting our organization's daily operations by providing written and digital content support.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Would like to meet in person 1x/every two weeks. Remainder of the hours can be done remotely.

Answer Multiple Sclerosis is a neurological disorder usually manifesting itself in early 20’s. Almost one million people in the United States have MS, making it one of the most common causes of neurological disability among young adults (20’s-40’s) in North America. The prevalence of MS in Wisconsin is medium to high and there is an estimated 20,000 people in Wisconsin impacted by Multiple Sclerosis. With an estimated 350 individuals living with MS in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
