Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer The Eau Claire Marathon is looking for students to take photos at Eau Claire Marathon events (expo, kids run, 5k, full and half marathon, etc.). There is also potential to partner with the Blugold Mile. The community need to be addressed is to obtain as many photographs of runners and participants to be used to showcase the Eau Claire community in a positive and healthy way.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer The Eau Claire Marathon's mission is to encourage a journey that leads the participants to live a healthy lifestyle, that endorses the fact that dedication and discipline yield results, that demonstrates that you don't have to win the race to have a personal victory, and a journey that should remind everyone of the power of encouragement.

What skills are required for this project?

Answer Must have a photography background and own your own camera. Must have transportation to get around the race course the day of the race (May 6).

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer The students will have the opportunity to build their photography portfolio by taking photos at an esteemed community live event. Students will have the ability to practice creativity, and real life experience at a fast paced event.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Saturday 1PM-5PM and Sunday 7AM-2PM. Additional time before the event to plan duties is required. There is an opportunity to take photos Saturday mornings Spring Semester for the Distance Running Class.
