Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer The UWEC Children's Nature Academy is a child care program that is part of the UWEC community. It is located just 3 miles from campus at a location called The Priory. This project is designed for current student employees at the center. These students will work with program administration to enhance UWEC student and child outcomes. They will serve as a representative of the student body, providing feedback about issues in child care.


What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer The Nature Academy strives to support child development through nature-inspired learning. The program provides care to children of UWEC students and faculty.


What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Leadership and initiative. Organization. Communication.


What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Participants of this project will . . . *develop leadership skills. *work collaboratively with other students to enhance program outcomes. *learn the basics skills of budgeting and financial forecasting.


What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Tuesday evenings 5:15 - 5:45 meeting times. Flexible scheduling options
