Service-Learning Proposal Description


Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer The Curriculum Development Assistant will work with the Program Director to format an Adult Education Curriculum. This curriculum will be used with UWEC Children's Nature Academy Staff for continuing education.


What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer To provide quality child care to children ages 6 weeks - 12 years of age. To support UWEC student learning.


What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Organization Word Processing, Computer Technology Skills Marketing (ability to make the curriculum visually appealing) Ability to work independently and collaboratively


What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer The student will: 1. Gain experience formatting curriculum


What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Once the project is underway, the individual will have flexibility in scheduling. Tasks may be completed on and off site, with frequent communication through email. Must meet periodically between Monday - Friday at scheduled appointment.

Answer The Children's Nature Academy is located 3 miles from campus at a property called "The Priory". A shuttle is available to bring students to and from campus. A schedule is available on the parking website.
