Service-Learning Proposal Description


Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer This person will attend the 26th annual JA Golf Outing. The assignment is to take photos of our event attendees foursomes plus taking additional pictures of attendees playing golf on the course and in the clubhouse for the dinner and auction. The photographer will take candid photos of people at the event; The goal is to provide 25 general interest photographs for post-event and future golf outing marketing promos. Junior Achievement's purpose is to inspire and prepare students to succeed in a global economy.


What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Junior Achievement is a non-profit that presents economic life skills through volunteer led programs to area youth. JA volunteers present hands-on programs to 2nd-12th grade students throughout the school year. Programming is contains information about financial literacy, entrepreneurship and work readiness.


What skills are required for this project? 

Answer The ability and equipment to take high quality photos as well as edit photos tastefully. Previous photography experience is desired but not necessary.


What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Practice your photography and editing skills. Interact with business professional attending the event to improve your personal relations skills. Help Junior Achievement increase community awareness of the programs offered by Junior Achievement promoting entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy. Provides hands-on experience for the student to provide a portfolio building piece for a non-profit organization.


What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Must be available to attend the JA Golf Outing on June 2, 2022 from 11 AM - 6 PM. Edited photos should be emailed/shared with the JA Marketing Manager by June 10, 2021 that will be used for marketing purposes promoting Junior Achievement in northwestern Wisconsin.

Answer You will be provide lunch and dinner at the event. We ask that you not include a watermark on submitted photos as they will be used for event marketing and publicity purposes. You will receive photo credit for the event photos and thanked in our external newsletter.
