Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer Provides and assist citywide effort in maintaining and responding to animal, parking and emergency services.


What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer Enforcement of ordinances as they relate to the control of animals and parking regulations; assisting with the transportation of department vehicles for service; engaging community members; working with the patrol division.


What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Excellent written and oral communication skills, interact professionally with a wide variety of citizens in varied settings, including stressful and emergent situations, and the ability to initiate and problem solving capability,


What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Being able to tend to the needs of the City's animal, parking, and emergencies service request. Under direct supervision, performs a wide range of field duties in the patrol division. Patrols the City of Eau Claire enforcing animal and parking laws, and as directed, assists other department personnel with service-related duties. The incumbent, in performing service-related duties in any of the divisions, has daily personal contact with the general public.


What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer 0-29 hrs a week.
