Service-Learning Proposal Description

1.

Briefly describe the project and the community need to be addressed.

Answer A consumer working with the Wisconsin Division of Vocational Rehabilitation is setting up a small business compatible with her disability. She needs assistance in learning to use a Sony 4K FDR-AX53 Handycam camcorder and Adobe Premiere Elements 2021 to create content and upload that content to social media.

2.

What is the mission of the agency or organization?

Answer C.R. Haupt LLC provides Wisconsin DVR consumers assistance with business plan development so that entrepreneurs with disabilities can develop successful businesses.

3.

What skills are required for this project? 

Answer Knowledge of video recording equipment and use of Adobe Premier software including uploading content to social media. Will also need to provide training on the use of those tools.

4.

What are the objectives for the student learning and service?

Answer Understand the challenges that persons with disabilities face in starting up businesses and how those challenges can be overcome. Learn to successfully work with and transfer skills to others. Learn basic project management skills.

5.

What are the availability requirements for the student?

Answer Very flexible. Can work around the student’s schedule.
